Established in 2019 as a sole proprietorship, EcoNiche is an interdisciplinary consultancy based in Bangalore and Goa, India. We are dedicated to designing & supporting the implementation of strategies that tackle the interconnected challenges of climate change & biodiversity loss, building the foundation for sustainable success of conservation actions. Through collaborations with NGOs, local communities, governments, and other stakeholders, we align our solutions with the collective needs & aspirations of all involved.

Nisha DSouza
Nisha is a conservationist with a career spanning over 12 years. Her work focuses on marine & coastal restoration ecology and resilience-building. She has expertise in conservation leadership & strategy, project/programme management, and impact monitoring, evaluation & learning (MEL). Nisha has a BSc. in Marine Science, and an MSc. in Wildlife Health and Population Management from the University of Sydney, and an MPhil. in Conservation Leadership from the University of Cambridge. Nisha founded EcoNiche in 2019.
SOCIAL IMPACT CONSULTANT
Anabel D'Gama
Anabel is a development practitioner with a career spanning over 18 years. Her work focuses on human rights, ecological justice, evidence-based policy, and community-led conservation and development. She has expertise in project/programme management, network-building, social research, policy development, and impact monitoring, evaluation & learning (MEL). Anabel has an MA. In Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), and is certified in Peace & Conflict Studies, and Environmental Law.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT
Aditya Das
Aditya is experienced in sales operations and customer success with a career spanning over 10 years, across retail, logistics, ed-tech and textile industries, in B2B and B2C domains. He has been advising the development of self-sustained nature-based livelihood programs over the last 1.5 years. Aditya has a B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow.

Desmond DSouza
Desmond specializes in strategy and change management, network services transformation, cost-benefit evaluations, and general IT management, with a career spanning over 4 decades. He has a BTech. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.
